Summer/ Fall Flight Prices Make for a Great Vacation



Planning a trip to the Caribbean in the summer can lead to some big savings, and Jamaica is no exception. Off-peak season is generally mid-April to mid-December – just before Christmas.  Imagine fewer crowds, lower hotel prices and less expensive airfare. Cheap flights to Jamaica are much easier to find in the off- season months, and you can often find airfare up to 60% lower than the peak season.

There are three international airports in Jamaica: Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica’s capital city and the Ian Fleming International Airport in picturesque Ocho Rios. Most of the guests coming to stay with us at Sunset at the Palms fly into Montego Bay. From there it’s only an hour and a half to the resort.  There are transfers or connection flights from any of the airports, and once you’ve arrived in Jamaica, your vacation truely begins!

There are several of the major airlines that offer direct flights from major cities. Some airlines offering scheduled non-stop service include:

Of course, you’ll have to check your routes to see if there is non-stop, direct or connecting service from your city.

Some cities are serviced by Charter airlines. Charter flights may run only on specific days of the week, during a specific time period. From the US this includes Vacation Express and Sun Country. From Canada, Sunwing and Air Transat. From Europe and the UK, Euro Wings, and TUI.

In addition, Air Canada, Sunwing, Sun Country, West Jet, Cayman Airways, British Airways, Euro Wings, Air Transat and TUI offers scheduled and charter flights from points outside of the United States.
